What Are Porcelain Veneers?

Veneers are thin, semi-translucent “shells” fabricated from porcelain that are custom made to fit precisely over existing teeth. They are permanently bonded into place by a special resin that adheres the veneer to the front of the tooth. The finished result is extremely strong and durable.

Though veneers may not be suitable for every patient, they are the ideal option to close spaces between teeth and cover stains. They can also be used to whiten permanently discolored teeth, and to correct uneven or crooked teeth.

In some cases we can do veneers without ever drilling on the teeth. These are called “no prep veneers” or “Lumineers”.
