Invisalign is an orthodontic treatment system that works to straighten teeth through the use of clear plastic trays, also known as aligners. Metal smiles are are becoming a thing of the past, Invisalign® braces are virtually invisible.
From start to finish, the entire process is very simple and painless. We start by taking bite impressions, photos and x-rays of your mouth which we then send directly to Invisalign®. From there Invisalign® will construct a three-dimensional analysis of your teeth for us to analyse and view on our computer. This computer model will give us a step by step preview of the entire Invisalign process.

The total number of trays used varies with each individual case, thus the total treatment time will vary from case to case. Each tray is worn for a 2 week period for nearly 24hrs a day, they are however removed for meals and brushing. Interestingly, after a few weeks most patients feel more comfortable with the trays in than without. There are obviously a number of benefits to Invisalign over traditional braces, perhaps the most obvious being that no one has to know your wearing braces. Other notable benefits include less sensitivity and pain compared to traditional braces and improved oral hygiene, since the trays can be removed and cleaned.
